Colchicine is purposed to fight gout attacks.
How Taken
Each Colchicine dose should be taken with a full glass of water. It can be taken once on every hour till the pain is gone and you have taken the maximum amount of medicine, or until you experience vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea. In order to prevent an attack, use Colchicine every day or several days a week. You should not take more than the prescribed doses.
Warnings/Precautions
Consult your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby, if you are pregnant or may get pregnant during the treatment period. Colchocone may be harmful to your unborn baby.
Missed Dose
I If you forget to take a dose, just take it as soon as you remember if it is not later than 1 hour. If it is too close to the next dose, leave the missed one and follow your normal dose schedule. Do not take two doses at a time in order to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects are: fever, rash, lips, tongue or face swelling, difficulty breathing; closing of your throat,numbness or tingling.
Storage
Keep Colchicine at average room temperature. Store away from heat and moisture and out of reach of children.
Overdose
Overdose of this medicine can cause: difficulty breathing, burning in your throat, stomach, or skin; nausea; stomach pain, vomiting; diarrhea; muscle weakness; delirium; and seizures. An overdose of colchicine can be fatal. If you have any doubt about overdose, find instant medical help.
